Service engineer for the Pharmaceutical Industry
I started my career in 1992 at Phoenix International as a Lab support technician, ordering supplies, assisting Analysts, maintenance of laboratory equipment and column packing. My implication and interest got me promoted to Analyst performing sample extraction, data analysis, instrument operation and data reporting. In 1993, P.I.L.S. Acquired 2 brand new APIII triple quad Mass Spectrometers.

I spent my spare time asking questions to the first operators Eric David and Ardeshir Khadang who became my mentor in the fascinating world of Mass Spectrometry. Ardy hired me in 1994 as an operator in the new Sciex department. In 1995, I was promoted to Manager Instrumentation. I was responsible for a team of Instrument Specialists, Chromatography Technicians., scheduling and method troubleshooting.

In 1999, I made a radical change in my career. Since I was a child, I was always drawned to technology, learning how machines work, taking them apart and rebuilding them was a big interest. I took a position of Instrument Service Technician. I was responsible for maintaining, calibrating and repairing Mass Spectrometers.
Finally, I found exactly what I always wanted to do, Instrument repair and troubleshooting.

In 2001, I joined Applied Biosystems as a Service Engineer. I was factory trained on the API2000, 3000 and 4000 triple quad Mass Spectrometers and the Voyager De pro and STR Maldi Mass Spectrometers.

In 2003, I left Applied Biosystems to Join MDS Pharma Services as an Automation and application Specialist. My responsibilities were to train personnel on Instrument operations and to Automate extraction methods. After a few months, I did not feel comfortable in this environment and decided to move on.

In 2004, I joined Warnex in the position of Instrumentation Manager. I was responsible for the Bio analytical and Analytical departments performing maintenance and calibration on all the equipments.

In 2006, I was promoted to Director Instrumentation. I was responsible for a team of 6 Instrument Specialist, scheduling, Instrument and method troubleshooting.

In my quest to better improve myself, I left Warnex in 2008 to join Zef Scientific as a Sr. Service engineer. ZefSci covers a wide variety of laboratory equipment from Mass Spectrometers such as AB\Sciex, Thermo, Agilent and Waters, to HPLC, Agilent, Shimadzu, Waters, Perkin Elmer, Themo and Young Lin to GC and also Instrument Qualifications.
Phoenix, unfortunatly this great company no longer exists.
